On May 25, global pharmaceutical giant Pfizer announced at the World Economic Forum in Davos that it will sell all of its patented medicines at non-profit prices to 45 of the world's poorest countri.
According to AFP news on the 25th, Pfizer launched the "For a Healthier World" initiative in Dav.
Pfizer said it will sell all of its patented medicines, including Paxlovid, an oral drug used to treat COVID-19, and a popular patient-friendly drug, to the aforementioned countries at nonprofit pric.
So far, Rwanda, Ghana, Malawi, Senegal and Uganda have announced their participation in the initiati.
Pfizer has previously been criticized for the way it sells its new crown vacci.
