According to the latest forecast of the Peruvian Association of Table Grape Growers and Exporters (Provid), Peruvian table grape exports will reach 73 million cases (8.
2 kg per carton) in the 2022/23 season, up 13% from the previous season's 64.
    4 million cases and 2%
    higher than the September forecast.
Peruvian table grapes will be exported to more than 58 markets
in North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America, Oceania and Africa.

Peruvian table grape exports are mainly between October and March, with forecasts based on the production forecasts of partners and producers and the volume
    exported so far, Provid said.
Peru's table grape industry is dynamic and adapts quickly to consumer preferences for new varieties, and the industry has experienced significant growth thanks to growers' choice to switch from traditional varieties to improved varieties, which in turn translates into higher yields
    per hectare.

Provid pointed out that in recent weeks there have been demonstrations and road closures due to the political and social instability in Peru, which have affected normal transportation and paralyzed agricultural production and the export of table grapes
    .
So far, traffic on Peru's main roads has normalized, so it is expected that export traffic will return to normal
    in the coming weeks.

According to an article by Luis Corvera, CEO of FreshFruit, a Peruvian fruit industry consultancy, Peru exported 531069 tons of table grapes worth US$1.
373 billion in the 2021/22 season, ranking first
among table grape suppliers in the world.
Peruvian table grape exports to China in 2021/22 reached 66,977 tonnes with a total value of US$199 million, up 23% and 25%
    year-on-year, respectively.
Although the Chinese market ranked third with a market share of 13%, the export value surpassed that of the Netherlands, and the average price reached the highest level
    of 2.
    97 US dollars / kg.
