On September 23, 2021, the research group of Researcher Li Lei from the School of Life Sciences, Peking University and collaborators published a research paper entitled " PmiREN2.

MicroRNA is a type of endogenous small RNA with gene regulation function ubiquitous in eukaryotes

Li Lei and Researcher Yang Xiaozeng from the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences are the co-corresponding authors of the paper.

At the same time, the collaborative team published a review paper entitled " MicroRNA annotation in plants: current status and challenges " in Briefings in Bioinformatics , summarizing the latest progress in plant microRNA data mining, and discussing the application of machine learning in microRNA identification .

The above-mentioned research work was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the State Key Laboratory of Protein and Plant Gene Research, and the Peking University-Tsinghua Life Sciences Joint Center
