    Recently, the General Administration of Customs issued the "Announcement on the Phytosanitary Requirements for Imported Laos Fresh Passion Fruits ", and starting from November 5th, Laos fresh passion fruit that meets the relevant requirements will be allowed to be imported into the Chinese market .
     
    According to the quarantine requirements, the species allowed to be imported this time is Passion Fruit.
    The main pests that need attention are Alternaria Passiflora, Bactrocera guava, Diospora cocoa and egg fruit lignification virus
    .
    After picking, passion fruit needs to be manually selected and cleaned, and it can also be treated with a fungicide after harvest to ensure that it does not carry the above harmful organisms or other impurities
    .
     
    The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Laos once stated that China is the largest export market for Laos, and 80% of the agricultural products exported by Laos are shipped to China
    .
    Up to now, a total of 8 types of Lao agricultural products have signed bilateral agreements on export to China, namely rice, corn, bananas, watermelon, dried cassava, sweet potatoes, fresh beans and passion fruit

    It is reported that the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Laos and the Chinese Customs are preparing market opening documents for fruits such as durian, longan, dragon fruit, jackfruit and oranges.
    It is expected that these fruits will soon be approved for export to China

    The Lao government stated that it will strive to export 90 kinds of agricultural products to China by 2025.
    The priority categories are peanuts, cashews, peppers, mangoes, beans, bananas, tea, coffee, sugar, cattle and beef
