    Finland: Paper product manufacturer launches pure fiber-based kraft paper

    Finnish paper product producer Stora Enso has launched a new 100% pure fiber-based kraft paper targeting premium segments such as fresh food, e-commerce and shelf packaging


    The product is designed with three fiber layers, the color is natural white, does not contain any excess chemical substances and brighteners, and uses less than traditional kraft paper on the basis of ensuring good compressive strength, bending stiffness and humidity performance to the greatest extent.


    The new products will be used in product packaging that requires high strength and good visual appearance, meeting the needs of processors and brands for safe, high-performance and plastic-free packaging

    Mexican beer brand Corona has announced the launch of a new biodegradable and compostable six-pack of beer in India made from 100% barley straw


    The straw material for these new packs was purchased by Corona from barley farmers in India


    For every ton of the new straw packaging produced, about 1,400 kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced compared to conventional technologies
