Finland: Paper product manufacturer launches pure fiber-based kraft paper
Finnish paper product producer Stora Enso has launched a new 100% pure fiber-based kraft paper targeting premium segments such as fresh food, e-commerce and shelf packaging
The product is designed with three fiber layers, the color is natural white, does not contain any excess chemical substances and brighteners, and uses less than traditional kraft paper on the basis of ensuring good compressive strength, bending stiffness and humidity performance to the greatest extent.
The new products will be used in product packaging that requires high strength and good visual appearance, meeting the needs of processors and brands for safe, high-performance and plastic-free packaging
Australia: Plastic packaging companies roll out holographic labeling systems
Australian plastic packaging company Caps & Closures has launched a holographic label system
For the food and beverage industry, pirated products can increase consumer distrust of brands, which is devastating for brands
The system provides cost-effective integrated safety features for manufacturers of food and beverage, healthcare products, household products, and more, suitable for small production runs and scalable to high-volume production
The system is integrated directly onto the packaging surface by nanoscale processing, without additives, maintaining 100% packaging material purity
India: Launched 100% barley straw biodegradable beer packaging
Mexican beer brand Corona has announced the launch of a new biodegradable and compostable six-pack of beer in India made from 100% barley straw
The straw material for these new packs was purchased by Corona from barley farmers in India
For every ton of the new straw packaging produced, about 1,400 kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced compared to conventional technologies
