On 8 February, 14 new confirmed cases were confirmed, all imported from abroad

February 8th, from 0:24 pm, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 14 new confirmed cases, all of which were imported from abroad (7 cases in Guangdong, 2 cases in Shanghai, 1 case in Jiangsu, 1 case in Zhejiang, 1 case in Fujian, 1 case in Shandong, 1 case in Sichuan);
75 new cases were cured and discharged from hospital on the same day, 6,787 close contacts were released from medical observation, and 2 fewer serious cases were reported than the previous day.
272 confirmed cases (of which 4 are serious cases) and 2 suspected cases have been imported from abroad. A total of 4818 confirmed cases, a total of 4546 cases of cured discharge, no deaths.
As of 2400 hours on February 8, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported that there were 1057 confirmed cases (of which 18 were serious cases), 84,027 cases had been cured and discharged from hospital, 4,636 cumulative deaths had been reported, 89,720 confirmed cases had been reported and 2 suspected cases had been reported. A total of 97,2002 close contacts were traced and 21,376 close contacts were still under medical observation.
31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 15 new cases of asymptomatic infection, of which 14 cases were imported from abroad and 1 case from the mainland (in Heilongjiang);
received a total of 11643 confirmed cases from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Of these,
10667 cases (9918 discharges, 186 deaths), 48 cases (46 discharges) in the Macao Special Administrative Region, and 928 cases (848 discharges and 9 deaths) in the
regions.
