, has been officially released by the Health and Planning Commission. The standard will come into effect on 1 July 2016.. For half a century, the vocabulary related to nutrition science has been scattered in medicine, hygiene, biology, biochemistry, agology and many other related professional vocabulary, there is no concentration and authority. Some of the core vocabulary of nutrition lacks standard definitions and interpretations, and scholars often have some differences in their understanding. With the economic and social development, the improvement of people's lives, nutrition work has been paid more and more attention, related to food nutrition and population nutrition and other aspects of new writings, documents, standards and so on continue to appear. At the same time, international academic exchanges, trade exchanges have also been introducing some new scientific terms, terms. In recent years, science and technology work has developed rapidly, when the media spread food nutrition knowledge, often use some unscientific nouns, terms, to the general public caused ambiguous concepts. Some normative documents each use nutritional terminology, but there is no uniform, standard interpretation. In 2007, WHO issued for the first time a noun term for international standards for traditional medicine, which is not specifically interpreted in the field of nutrition.
In order to uniformly explain and standardize the use of nutritional noun terms, promote nutrition teaching, professional exchanges, popular science, technology promotion and other work and related policies and regulations to develop and implement, promote better development of nutrition work, specially formulated "nutrition noun terminology" standards.
Nutrition Terminology, which covers basic nutrition, population nutrition, public nutrition, clinical nutrition and nutrition research methods, is a common standard for the nutritional science community to regulate the terms of nutrition. The standard is based on the latest published domestic and international standards and literature and is as consistent as possible with the latest available versions of the standards and literature..
