Nouryon doubles Mexico's organic peroxide production capacity

Nouryon, formerly AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals, will double the production capacity of solvent-based organic peroxides at its Los Reyes plant in Mexico, enabling it to support strong growth in the North American polyolefin and PVC markets. The expansion is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2020.

of Los Reyes is the latest in a series of investments by Nouryon to better serve and develop its customers in the polymer market. The company recently expanded its production capacity of lotion-type organic peroxides in Los Reyes and began producing Butanox-branded MEK peroxides in Pasadena, Texas. Another expansion of Los Reyes will be completed this year. Several projects have also been announced or completed in Asia.
