New results help type 1 female "sugar friends" nurture healthy babies |
The team of Professor Jianping Weng of the University of Science and Technology of China has made important progress in the comprehensive management of type 1 diabetes during pregnancy.
Type 1 diabetes, also known as insulin-dependent diabetes, often occurs in children and adolescents, and can also occur in all age groups.
Beginning in 2015, Weng Jianping’s team has designed and united with a number of units to carry out the "Carnation" research project to improve the pregnancy outcome of Chinese type 1 diabetic women through the implementation of a whole-process management program for pregnancy and childbirth.
