Mango is one of the most popular tropical fruits in the world and is known as the "king of tropical fruit.
In this study, the fruit of the typical late-ripening mango variety Keitt was used as the research material, and the changes in morphology, physiology, metabolites and gene expression profiles at different stages of fruit development were investigated in dep.
Based on the experimental results, this study proposes a potential model for ABA to regulate the ripening of Kate mango fruit, that is, with the development and ripening of mango fruits, the content of endogenous ABA gradually increases, induces the expression of transcription factors such as MiHY5 , and further activates sucrose metabolism, The expression of fruit ripening-related pathway genes, such as fruit softening, β -carotenoid accumulation and starch degradation, mediates fruit ripening in mangoes (Figure 2.
Recently, related research results were published online in Horticulture Research , a top journal in horticulture, under the title of Metabolomic and transcriptomic analyses revealing new insights into the role of abscisic acid in modulating mango fruit ripening
