Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) have become a breakthrough treatment for certain cancer patients including brain metastases (BM).

This study aims to conduct a systematic literature review and meta-analysis of the relationship between steroid therapy and overall survival (OS) in BM patients treated with ICI.

1145 studies were screened and 15 observational studies were included.

The median OS of patients in the steroid group was 2.

In BM patients receiving ICI treatment, hormone therapy was associated with a significant deterioration in OS and PFS.
