Two-dimensional layered materials, represented by graphene, exhibit remarkable electron delocalization behavior due to their unique intra-layer atomic connection, which leads to outstanding physical and chemical properties
Schematic diagram of the cluster alkene structure
Based on this, Wang Xun's group from the Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University reported for the first time a new class of graphene-like materials based on polymetallic oxygen clusters (POMs) - "cluster alkene-like"
The work was published in Nature Chemistry with the title of "Self-assembly of polyoxometalate clusters into two-dimensional clusterphene structures featuring hexagonal pores".
