According to the Ministry of Commerce and Trade, the Myanmar Edible Oil Import, Sale and Storage Supervision Committee released a drag of palm oil this week to guide the price of 3,880 kyats, but in the outside market, a drag of palm oil still sells for more than 6,000 kyats
    .

In order to regulate the price of edible oil in the market, the Ministry of Commerce and Trade, together with the Central Bank of Myanmar and the Myanmar Edible Oil Merchants Association, sells affordable edible oil
at below-market prices in Naypyidaw, Yangon, Mandalay and other provinces.
The epidemic and tensions have caused palm oil, which was originally less than 2,000 kyats, to rise to about 9,000 kyats, and residents in China have been forced to queue up to buy affordable cooking oil because they cannot afford to buy high-priced cooking oil
    .

Under the arrangement of the Myanmar Edible Oil Merchants Association, on October 11, some private oil dealers in the country sold palm oil
    for 4,100 kyats.

In order to stabilize the domestic fuel market price and allow the public to buy affordable edible oil, the Ministry of Commerce and Trade publishes the domestic edible oil wholesale guidance price every week by observing the daily FOB market price
, transportation, banking and tax-related fees of the importing country.
Most of Myanmar's palm oil imports come from Malaysia and Indonesia
    .

Domestic edible oil merchants said that only by meeting market demand, domestic edible oil prices will be stable
    .
Previously, due to foreign exchange and import restrictions, there was a shortage
of imported food and daily necessities in the domestic market.
