According to the "Capitol Hill" reported on October 8, local time, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are investigating the emergence of E.
coli infections in multiple states, and said that this may be related to
the frozen salad sandwiches sold by food chain Oleqi (ALDI).

    Symptoms of infection with E.
coli include stomach cramps, diarrhea, and vomiting
    .
According to reports, in the United States, Michigan, Wisconsin, Florida and other 6 states have been infected with E.
coli strain O121, resulting in 5 hospitalizations, of which 1 person developed hemolytic uremic syndrome, there are no reports of death
    .

Of the 18 people interviewed by the CDC and FDA, 15 reported that they had shopped at ALDI, and 6 of them said they ate Earth Grown-brand frozen salad sandwiches
purchased at ALDI a week before symptoms appeared.
Due to the possible presence of E.
coli in food, ALDI recalled the Earth Grown-branded vegan traditional salad sandwich as well as garlic and vanilla salad sandwiches
from the store on the 7th.
    The sandwiches were sold
    in 38 U.
    S.
states and the District of Columbia before being recalled.

The CDC said the true number of people infected with E.
coli may be higher than the number reported, and the infection may not be limited to states with known infections, as it usually takes 3 to 4 weeks to determine whether a patient's symptoms are E.
coli infection, and the date of onset of the currently verified case reports is between
    July 13 and September 13.
