Food Partner Network News , September 27-29,the "2021 International Food Safety and Health Conference"co-sponsoredby the Chinese Society for Food Science and Technology and the InternationalUnion of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST) washeldat the Beijing International Conference Center.
Professor Meng Suhe, chairman of the Chinese Society of Food Science and Technology, said at the opening ceremony that China’s food industry is in the gradual process of health transformation, but its meaning is not justthe “three reductions” ofreducing oil, salt , and sugar.
Instead, it is necessary to urgently improve the health connotation of existing foods, and develop based on traditional Chinese food culture , science-based, food-based, and application of functional substances and raw materials with natural and healthy characteristics to meet the diversity of different groups of people.
