Moscow, January 5 (Sputnik) -- Foreign media quoted sources as saying that fast food chain McDonald's plans to withdraw from Kazakhstan
due to difficulties in importing Russian meat products.

Bloomberg reported on January 4 that sources with knowledge of the issue said that the conflict in Ukraine has led to supply blockages, Kazakhstan lacks meat suppliers that can replace Russia, and "McDonald's Group plans to withdraw from Kazakhstan.
    "

The source told Bloomberg that although the sanctions against Russia did not affect Kazakh companies, McDonald's banned local franchisees from purchasing meatloaf
    from Russian suppliers.

Sources said that higher prices and domestic shipping costs for goods meant a loss in business, so Kazakh companies could not source meatloaf
    from local or European suppliers.
