Master Bond's EP42-2LV Black is a low-viscosity, highly fluid two-component epoxy resin system that can be soaked in many acids, alkalis, solvents, fuels and oils for long periods of time. The material can be used in areas such as bonding, sealing, coating and casting, which require strong chemical resistance.
April, Master Bond just launched a two-component epoxy system resin, EP40Med resin, which combines toughness and low stretch moulds while still having a high bonding shear strength
. This flexible epoxy resin has an elongation rate of 80-90%, a joint shear strength of 1,600-1,800psi and a low stretching module of 25,000-50,000psi.
Main Features of EP42-2LV Black
The compound is easy to use with a mix ratio of 100 to 40 or 100 to 50 volume ratios, with part A being black and part B being light amber. The viscosity of the mixing system is approximately 1,000-2,000 cps and has a long service life of 60 to 90 minutes per 100 g batch.
EP42-2LV Black can be cured for 2 to 3 days at room temperature or within 2 to 3 hours at a high temperature of 200 degrees F, without light transmission. For optimum performance, the recommended curing schedule is to place overnight at room temperature and then heat and cure for 2 to 4 hours at 150-200 degrees F.
it meets NASA's low exhaust standards and can be used over a wide temperature range from -60 to 350 degrees F. The system is electrically insulated, with a volume resistivity greater than 1014 ohm-cm at room temperature and a dielectric constant of 4.0 at 60 Hz. These features, combined with a relatively long service life and low heat release characteristics, make the EP42-2LV Black suitable for many larger potted and packaged applications. Ep42-2LV Black can be used in the aerospace, electronics, optical and OEM industries.
