The average weekly closing prices of recent futures contracts for wheat, soybean oil, soybean and corn on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were US$377, US$1,578, US$605 and US$291 per ton, down 7%, 4%, 3% and 2% month-on-month, respectively.
They were 68%, 37%, 18% and 34% higher than the same period last year; the average weekly price of Malaysian palm oil in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, was US$1,659 per ton, down 3% from the previous month and 52% higher than the same period last year
