Many achievements have been made in the study of seed plants of Yaoshan mountain in the northeast of Yunnan Province

Yaoshan mountain is a mountain extending from Wumeng mountains to the northeast It is located in Qiaojia county in the northeast of Yunnan at the junction of Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou in Jinsha River Basin It belongs to the combination zone of China Himalaya forest plant sub region and China Japan forest plant sub region in the classification of plant distribution types, between central China and Yunnan Plateau Because of its long geographical history, diverse landforms, rich in ancient and transitional floristic elements, it has become one of the key areas connecting the three distribution centers of endemic genera of Chinese seed plants (East Sichuan West Hubei, Yunnan Guizhou Guangxi and Hengduan Mountain) Since 2002, the research group led by researcher Wang Hong of Kunming Institute of Botany, supported by the platform project of the Ministry of science and technology of the people's Republic of China and the project of National Natural Science Foundation of the people's Republic of China, has carried out many large-scale investigation and collection of seed plants in Yaoshan National Nature Reserve in different seasons So far, according to the "angiosperm phylogeny group II" (apgii) system, 2366 species (including subspecies) belonging to 809 genera and 163 families of seed plants have been obtained, including 9 East Asian families, 2 Chinese endemic families, 27 Chinese endemic genera and 1096 Chinese endemic species (including 16 local endemic species) The new taxa found in Yaoshan are Pedicularis yaoshanensis, Paris stigmatosa, Cremastra appendiculata, Rhododendron qiaojiaense and r yaoshanense This paper focuses on the pollination ecology and conservation biology of several endemic orchid species in the core and edge areas of Yaoshan nature reserve, and puts forward reasonable suggestions for species protection At the same time, more than 500 plant seeds from Yaoshan were submitted for the germplasm resource bank This work not only enriches the collection and preservation of seed plant specimens in the herbarium of Kunming Institute of Botany, but also deepens the understanding of the composition, characteristics, origin and evolution of seed plant flora in the area Yunnan Yaoshan seed plant list was officially published by Yunnan Science and Technology Press.
