On July 10, the China Science and Technology Museum's "Rhythm World" chemical element periodic table exhibition was officially launched, and also for this year's BASF ® small chemist Beijing station activities began.
To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Periodic Table of Elements, BASF not only incorporated its most distinctive chemistry lab classroom into the special exhibition, but also dedicated an interactive experience area of "Element Tour" and "Element Workshop", where visitors can explore and discover the science behind chemical elements throughout the summer vacation.
Representatives from the Chinese Association of Science and Technology, the Chinese Chemical Society, the China Science and Technology Museum and BASF attended the opening ceremony
The special exhibition of the periodic table of chemical elements of "Rhythm World" was co-sponsored by the China Science and Technology Museum and the Chinese Chemical Society, with an exhibition area of 1500 square meters and 70 exhibits, including the "Law has its reasons" "Elemental Law" and "The Law of Everything" in the four exhibition areas .
follow Dr. Doodle to the rhythmic world and catch a glimpse of it!
The exhibition uses interactive exhibits, multimedia, ore objects, text, creative products, etc. to lead the public to trace the long history of human exploration of matter and the birth of the periodic table of elements, to show the magical and diverse nature and use of chemical elements, to describe the important impact of elemental cycle law on human scientific research, production, life, and to expand the field of vision from elemental cycle law to the universal law of everything in the world, to show how human beings can promote social progress in understanding and utilization of the law.
exhibition will run until mid-to-late August. After the first exhibition of the China Science and Technology Museum, a two-year tour will be held in China.
We will accompany you throughout the summer vacation in the "Rhythm World" For more than
years, the China Science and Technology Museum has held a series of colorful science and technology exhibitions and educational activities around the hot spots of social science and technology. The exhibition, which is planned and prepared in conjunction with the 2019 International Cycle of Chemical Elements, was also born under such an opportunity. The exhibition not only introduces the knowledge of chemical elements and periodic laws of elements, but also leads the public to think about how human beings understand and use laws to change the world.
"As an important basic science and technology facility in China, the China Science and Technology Museum will continue to respect the needs of the public, strive to develop and innovate, lead the development of the industry, and launch more high-quality science and technology exhibitions and popular science works with social influence," said Yin Yin, a member of the Party Group of the Chinese Association of Science and Technology and director of the China Science and Technology Museum. We are also delighted to be able to fully integrate BASF's small chemists into the exhibition, opening the door to scientific exploration for children with safe and interesting experiments.
introduced small chemists to China in 2002, a popular science education program that has so far attracted 196,000 school-age children aged 6-12.
, BASF's small chemist, lets children really feel the charm of chemistry by doing hands-on experiments, " says Woodcock, BASF's global vice president and China's chief representative. Every summer, we bring a unique and refreshing experience to our children and parents. In conjunction with the 'Rhythm World' special exhibition, we will not only provide more exciting experiments and interactive projects, focusing on the circular economy and food nutrition and other important topics, but will also last longer than in previous years, so that more viewers can come to experience.
