Abstract: Summary: Tripterygium wilfordii, as a treasure of traditional Chinese medicine, has strong anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects. It is widely used in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, kidney disease and so on.because Tripterygium wilfordii has significant curative effect on autoimmune diseases and has no side effects of hormones, it has attracted the attention of researchers at home and abroad in recent years, and a large number of studies have begun to explore the potential mechanism of anti-inflammatory and immunosuppression.and Tripterygium wilfordii itself has toxic and side effects, which limits its wider clinical application.this paper summarized the clinical application of Tripterygium Wilfordii in immune related inflammatory diseases in recent years, the mechanism of anti-inflammatory and immune regulation of Tripterygium wilfordii, and the current methods of reducing toxicity of Tripterygium wilfordii, in order to help clinicians and researchers better understand the biological characteristics and mechanism of action of Tripterygium wilfordii, and provide reference for clinical application and promotion.key words: Tripterygium Wilfordii Hook F for immune-mediated inflammatory diseases: progress and future prospects.
