    To this end, the researchers included 11 888 participants (2529 NAFLD and 9359 non-NAFLD) with no history ofhepatitis B/C infection
    and alcohol consumption .


    DASH scores are calculated from energy-adjusted consumption of vegetables, fruits, dairy products, legumes, grains, meat, fat, sodium, and beverages collected by a validated food frequency questionnaire

    The risk of NAFLD was lower in the highest DASH quintile compared with the lowest quintile of DASH scores, with an odds ratio (OR) of 0.
