    (People’s Daily) According to the Viet News Agency, in order to combat “illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing” (IUU), in the past four years, 28 provinces and cities along the coast of Vietnam have redoubled their efforts and taken multiple measures to promote the sustainable development of fisheries .
    It is committed to lifting the "yellow card warning" issued by the European Commission to Vietnam and assisting fishermen and aquatic product processing and exporting enterprises to promote seafood to the international market more openly and transparently

    Since the European Commission issued a "yellow card warning" to Vietnamese fisheries, So Trang Province has set up special steering committees in fishing ports and wharves to improve inspection teams, and at the same time increase publicity efforts to increase fishermen's awareness of illegal fishing
    .
    The province also regularly inspects fishing boats entering and leaving the Chenti Fishing Port
    .
    Like Sot Trang Province, Bac Lieu, Tra Vinh and Ca Mau Provinces are also working hard to raise fishermen’s awareness of law enforcement on offshore fishing activities

    Nguyen Viet Chao, deputy director of the Fisheries Branch of Ca Mau Province, stated that in order to combat "illegal, unreported and unregulated" fishing, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ca Mau Province has actively put forward suggestions to the Provincial People's Committee and cooperated with relevant departments and units to take supporting measures.

    Resolutely refuse to issue fishing licenses for re-offending fishing boats, and cancel support policies for fishermen and boat owners
