On January 20, 2022, Li Haipeng's research group from Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences, together with other teams, published an online publication entitled "Fine human genetic map based on UK10K data set" in Human Genetics, an internationally important academic journal in the field of human genetics.

The accuracy of the genetic recombination rate estimation is proportional to the number of genetic recombinations included in the data.

The field of theoretical population genetics has an extremely well-established mathematical foundation, as opposed to the black box concept in machine learning

Researcher Li Haipeng from Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Associate Professor Pan Yixuan from East China Normal University are the co-corresponding authors of the paper
