LANXESS’s broadest portfolio of high-quality coatings will be exhibited at the 2019 European Coatings Show

Specialty chemicals company LANC will present its broadest portfolio of high-quality coatings to date at the 2019 European Coatings Show in Nuremberg from 19 to 21 March 2019. This year, it includes not only colorants, preservatives and pyridine-based products, but also a wide range of water-specific polyurethane dispersion (PUD) and polyurethane pre-polypolymer coating systems. LANXESS uses LAUX processes to produce micro-powdered red pigments that meet the most stringent requirements. These calcination types have unique performance characteristics that distinguish them in two basic ways from all other iron oxide pigments available on the market for coatings and coating applications. First, they have the highest grinding stability. LAUX pigments resist color changes even when subjected to high shearing during dispersion. Second, the thermal stability of these pigment types is as high as 800 degrees C, while red pigments (hetero-iron ore, Fe2O3) produced using other manufacturing processes are usually resistant to up to 400 degrees C due to their chemical structure.
