In 2019, the results of a study called RESTART showed that the prognosis of ICH is related to the use of antithrombotic drugs.
Based on these questions, some researchers have analyzed these risks in population-based studies and compared them with the risks in RESTART, which evaluates antiplatelet therapy after cerebral hemorrhage.
The researchers aggregated data from two prospective, population-based initial cohort studies ( OXVASC and LATCH cohort studies ) from Oxfordshire, England , to quantify recurrent cerebral hemorrhage, ischemic stroke or any serious vascular events (non-fatal stroke, The absolute and relative risks of non-fatal myocardial infarction or vascular death) were stratified according to the location of cerebral hemorrhage (large lobe vs non-large lobe) and whether it was combined with atrial fibrillation (AF).

The results showed that among the 674 participants, 46 cases of recurrent ICH (event rate 3.

These findings have implications for clinical practice and future research.
