L2904 EtherCAT terminal module, 4-channel digital output

The EL2904 TwinSAFE component is a digital output terminal
with four channels.
It switches 24 V DC actuators up to 0.
5 A per channel and has four fail-safe outputs
.
The output is controlled
by a component with TwinSAFE logic via FSoE.
If an error is detected (failure stop), the component shuts down
automatically.
The EL2904 has safety parameters that allow functions to be specially adapted to the respective safety requirements
.
For example, current measurement and output test at the output can be configured to be able to detect cross-circuits and react
appropriately.
In addition, standard output
can be activated for the EL2904.
Therefore, the corresponding standard output can be paralleled in the process image with the safe output of the EL2904 and "AND" performed internally

The safe output signal controlled by TwinSAFE Logic thus emits a safe release as a standard signal, which can be triggered by a non-safety-oriented control system, independent of the safety controller and the FSoE cycle

This allows for faster output switching times, provided that the safety controller issues the necessary release
for the output.
Security parameters are not stored directly on the component, but are transferred to the component through the component
with the TwinSAFE Logic function when the security application is launched.
This simplifies the service procedure, as components
can be simply replaced.
When the security application is restarted, the safety-related parameters are transferred to the new component
