Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common cancer in the world, and the incidence is rising
Recently, a single-center, non-inferiority clinical trial published aims to compare the effectiveness of curettage and cryotherapy sBCCs in terms of overall clinical clearance and wound healing time after 1 year
Studies randomly assign non-facial sBCCs with a diameter of 5-20 mm to cryotherapy or curettage treatment, using a freeze-thaw cycle
As a result, a total of 228 sBCCs from 97 patients were included in the analysis
Taken together, the findings suggest that both treatments show high clinical clearance after 1 year, while the curettage rule shortens wound healing time
