On January 14, 2022, the Jamaica Bureau of Standards issued a notification G/TBT/N/JAM/108, issuing mandatory standards for ketchup
.
The main contents include: (1) General and detailed requirements for traditional tomato paste made from tomatoes and requirements for tomato paste made from other fruits and vegetables are specified
.
(2) This standard applies to products made from tomatoes or other fruits and/or vegetables and intended for direct consumption that are labelled "ketchup"
.
The standard solicits opinions, and the feedback time is March 14, 2022; the proposed effective date is December 30, 2022
