    Recently, the processing and engineering technology research team of the Institute of Spices and Beverages, Chinese Academy of Thermal Sciences has found that the bioactive polysaccharides in jackfruit pulp can regulate intestinal flora and promote intestinal microbial fermentation to produce short-chain fatty acids and other intestinal probiotic effects.


    Jackfruit is known as "Tropical Treasure Fruit" and "Tropical Fruit Queen".


    In recent years, the research in the field of jackfruit processing and functional evaluation has attracted more and more researchers' attention


    The research team studied the regulatory effect of jackfruit polysaccharides on the intestinal microbes of mice through metagenomics, and analyzed the changes of short-chain fatty acids in the intestinal contents, including acetate, propionate, butyrate, and valerate


    The results of this study can provide theoretical basis and scientific basis for the development and application of polysaccharide prebiotics
