!---- A previous single-center study showed that smoking increased the risk of ruptured intracranial aneurysms (UIA) in women between the ages of 30 and 60 sixtimes, and that the risk was higher if the patient had chronic hypertension.but no data to assess the association, and researchers recently published a study in the journal Ofy Andry, a neurology journal, in which researchers aimtod to verify previous results in women through multicenter studies.the multicenter case-control study, which looked at women between the ages of 30 and 60 who underwent an mridoomy (MRA) test between 2016 and 2018.cases were uuaincident cases of UIA and matched with age-based and ethnic-based controls.researchers performed a multivariate condition Logistic regression to assess the difference between smoking status and hypertension between case and control.113 with aneurysm and 113 controls out of 545 eligible patients.imaging tests in 62.5% of cases and 44.3% of control groups were most common due to chronic headaches.57.5% of cases and 37.2% of the controls had a history of smoking.multivariate analysis showed that smoking history (OR 3.7, 95% CI was 1.61 to 8.50), hypertension (OR was 3.16, 95% CI was 1.17 to 8.52) were related to both factors, and UIA diagnosis (OR was 6.9, 95% CI was 2.49 to 19.24)., women between the ages of 30 and 60 who had a history of smoking had a four-fold increase in risk of UIA, while women with chronic high blood pressure increased sevenfold.these results suggest that women aged 30 to 60 may benefit from screening advice..
