Mehr News Agency reported on July 18 that the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Iran said that the Iranian government has purchased 3 million tons of wheat from farmers this year, an increase of 35 million tons over last year, considering that 34% of the wheat-growing areas have not yet entered the harve.

The official pointed out that this year's barley output is expected to increase by 1 million tons compared with last year, and the output of corn for feed will reach 15 million tons, which will benefit the development of animal husband.
