After receiving his Ph.
D.
from Peking University in 2010, Professor Zhang Donghui has been engaged in postdoctoral research at Duke University and Harvard Medical School for 6 years
.
After returning to China in 2017, he worked in Hubei University and is currently the vice president of Hubei University of Science and Technology
.
Professor Zhang Donghui mainly focuses on cutting-edge fields such as stem cell differentiation, tissue engineering, organ-on-a-chip, and in vitro modeling of diseases.
He takes functional cells such as cardiomyocytes derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells as his research objects.
Organs, and based on this research on the pathogenesis of cardiomyopathy, develop new treatment programs for myocardial infarction, arrhythmia, and heart failure
.
The nominee's research field is rooted in major intractable diseases, with a number of original research results, providing a subversive technical foundation for regenerative medicine and new drug research and development
.
He has published dozens of articles in Cell Res, Nat Rev Cardiol, Circulation, Circ Res and other journals, with a total of more than 2,000 citations
