Introduction to the common faults of the polarimeter and the treatment methods.

1.
High frequency of damage: ① The instrument should be placed in a dry place to prevent moisture and mildew, so as to avoid damage to the circuit and optical system
.
Avoid frequent contact with corrosive gases and avoid severe vibration
.
The power supply should be stable (with regulated power supply)

②Turn on the power switch and let the instrument warm up and stabilize before sampling
.
Stabilize sodium lamps
.
Turn on the light source switch before measurement (the sodium lamp is lit under DC power supply at this time), and then measure the sample
.
③ The samples are collected together for determination
.
Reduce frequent switching of polarimeter
.
Do not turn on the light source switch when the sample is not being measured
.
④The polarimeter tube should be screwed up so that it does not leak and does not contaminate the instrument
.
2.
The number of optical rotation changes greatly: ①The dissolved sample contains suspended matter, you can try to filter it, and then test; ②It may be that the polarimeter has been running for a long time and the temperature has increased
.
3.
Turn on the power switch, the sodium lamp does not glow: ①The power switch may be broken, replace the power switch or return to the factory for repair; ②The sodium lamp is broken, and the sodium lamp can be replaced
.
4.
After turning on the power switch, and then turning on the light source switch, the sodium lamp does not light up: ① the sodium lamp preheating time is not enough, the AC preheating time can be extended; ② the circuit board is broken, replace the corresponding circuit board; ③ the light source switch is broken, replace the light source switch or return to the factory for repair
.
5.
Polarimeter The sodium lamp emits abnormally (white light or the sodium lamp is very bright): ① the sodium lamp is broken, replace the sodium lamp; ② the sodium lamp is broken or the circuit board is broken, first replace the sodium lamp, and then replace the circuit board
.
6.
Press the "Measure" button, the LCD screen has no display: ①The key contact is not good, press the "Measure" button again; ②The display board is broken, replace the display board; ③The counting board is broken, replace the counting board
