Mineral oil desiccant has its innate advantages such as high reputation in the industry, long history and stable performance. In recent years, emulsified desiccant has come into being with the high demand of national policies and regulations and people's environmental protection performance towards greener and more sustainable development. However, some of the mainstream emulsified desobbizing agents on the market at present have been greatly challenged in the coating formulation system because of the great reduction of their active ingredients. In order to improve the potential performance defects of emulsifying anti-foaming agents, a newly developed emulsified destication agent with excellent performance and cost-effective results has been officially introduced.

01, defoulant sample total VOC test
Our research and development team selected three common defoulants on the market and Foamaster® MO 2157 conducted some basic performance tests. As shown in the figure below, the ratio desolation agent 1 and the ratio desolation agent 3 are typical mineral oil deblisters, the total amount of VOC is relatively high, and the participation desolation agent 1 contains a certain amount of benzene products, which is in line with the latest national standard GB18582-2020 "the limit of harmful substances in building wall coatings" requirements of benzene products. Thanks to its unique formulation design, foamaster® MO 2157's formulation system does not contain any toxic and harmful substances such as benzene, helping to achieve a healthier and more sustainable development of the coatings industry, and truly making green environmental protection the main theme of the coatings market.

02, desiccant sample foaming time test
test method: add 0.3% desulbant of the coating formula, dilute the paint water by 20%-30%, and then use a sponge roller to carry out roller coating test, the error range is ±5 seconds.
2 is a more mainstream emulsified defouling agent on the market, although VOC is slightly lower than Foamaster® MO 2157, but its defouling efficiency and compatible and other comprehensive performance is far less than Foamaster® MO 2157.
Foamaster® MO 2157 offers excellent defocusing and anti-foaming properties, while this defoulant provides excellent compatibleity and rapid foaming in different emulsion systems as well as in different PVC coating formulation systems.
03, the compatible of the desiccant sample and the film-forming performance test
. Foamaster® MO 2157 descending agent's unique formulation design and clever combination with its production process ideally optimize the balance between deblistering and compatibility, making it suitable for all stages of preparation of architectural coatings. Traditional mineral oil deblistering agent if added in the painting stage often causes the film compatible and deblistering, foaming efficiency problems, resulting in coating crater, fish eye and other coating defects, will inevitably bring great challenges to the final coating film performance. In a large number of deboulator performance tests, the foamaster® MO 2157's performance is very stable even when added at different mixing speeds, enabling it to provide an excellent balance of deboulation performance and compatible, whether added during grinding or painting.
