Food Partnership News On June 9, 2020, the Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issued REG/Fortification/FSSAI-2020, removing the standards for iodized salt, iron-fortified iodized salt, fortified wheat flour and fortified refined wheat flour from the Food Safety and Standards (Food Standards and Food Additives) Regulations 2011.
understand that on 2 August 2018, India issued the Food Safety and Standards (Food Fortification) Regulations 2018, which set out the standards for these products.
to avoid duplication, India decided to remove the relevant elements of the Food Safety and Standards (Food Standards and Food Additives) Regulations 2011.
