In the first quarter of 2022, the Russian Fisheries Corporation (RFC) significantly increased the production of deep-processed pollock products, with the total output of fish fillets and surimi exceeding 17,000 tons, an increase of about 50% over the same period last year
    .

The 17,000-ton deep-processed product includes 4,000 tons of new surimi, which was produced by the company's first trawler, the Vladimir Limanov, under its investment quota program, RFC said
    .

In March of this year, RFC's major shareholder Gleb Frank sold shares in RFC and RFC's sister company, crab producer RCC, after which the US government added Frank to the sanctions list on March 24
    .

Olga Naumova, general manager of RFC, said: "The company's strategic focus remains the same, and the development of the deep-processed product line will diversify the company's product portfolio, increase product sales revenue, and provide quality assurance to consumers
    .
    "

The RFC also pointed out that there are new opportunities for the Russian domestic market, with local pollock fillets and surimi gradually replacing imported pangasius and tilapia products
    .
RFC will continue to increase the output of deep-processed products, and carry out deep processing of 100% of the catch through newly built fishing and processing vessels
