According to the latest customs data, in the first 11 months of 2022, China has imported 776,996 tons of frozen shrimp, an increase of 45% year-on-year, and imports exceeded US$5 billion, an increase of 59%
year-on-year.

In November, China imported 86,000 tonnes of shrimp, up 22% from a year earlier and surpassing October's 80,000 tonnes.
Imports reached $549 million in November, up 20%
year-on-year.

Among them, Ecuador's white shrimp imports reached 59,000 tons in November, an increase of about 10,000 tons over October; Indian shrimp imports were about 7,000 tonnes, down 7%
year-on-year.

In November, the average import price of white shrimp in Ecuador was $6.
21/kg, down 3% year-on-year, and the average price of Indian shrimp was $6.
34/kg, up 1%
year-on-year.

The China Aquatic Products Distribution and Processing Association (CAPPMA) predicts that shrimp imports will reach 800,000 tons in 2022 and about 610,000 tons in 2021
.

From January to November, China has imported 502,000 tons of South American white shrimp from Ecuador, a year-on-year increase of 50%; Imports from India were 124,000 tons, up 19%
year-on-year.
