An article published in the International Journal of Nursing Studies explored the experience of family caregivers, nursing home caregivers and volunteers participating in home care in the Namaste Home Care Program
From December 2017 to October 2018, the researchers conducted research on family caregivers (n=10), volunteers (n=2), and caregivers (n=31) in 10 nursing homes participating in the Namaste Home Care Program.

The results show that family caregivers are active in participating in the Namaste family care plan, especially meaningful connections with patients
(1) Family caregivers' preference for participating in actions with patients (actions) : Actual actions that are in line with their own interests are regarded as promotion, while perceived lack of knowledge and unwillingness to contact others are obstacles
(2) Communication (communication) between family carers, caregivers and volunteers : Providing family carers with clear information about the plan can promote participation
(3) Personal background (personal situation ) of the family caregiver : Feeling satisfied and appreciated helps to participate
To optimize family participation, it is important to adopt a family-centered approach and provide training and guidance
