From IFFO September 13, 2021, the total amount of raw materials reported in July 2021 is about 35% less than that in July 2020
    .
This is mainly because Peru’s first fishing season in 2020 lasts until July (because fishing operations only started on May 13, 2020), and the northern/central fishing season is coming to an end in July this year
    .
Iceland, the North Atlantic region, the United States and India have improved their performance year-on-year, but this is not enough to offset the reductions in Peru, Denmark, Norway and African countries
    .
Compared with 2020, the total amount of raw materials has decreased, but the cumulative production of fishmeal and fish oil has increased
    .

The cumulative total production of the countries covered in the IFFO report has increased year-on-year in the first seven months of 2021: fishmeal increased by 8% and fish oil increased by 17%
    .
As far as fishmeal is concerned, only Peru, Chile and India report cumulative total production in the first seven months of 2021 higher than the first seven months of 2020
    .
As far as fish oil is concerned, Peru, Chile, India, Iceland, and the North Atlantic have achieved an increase in cumulative production in the first seven months of this year
    .

During the fishing ban, China's domestic fishmeal production remained low, while the inventory of imported fishmeal reached a record high
    .
From May to September, domestic fishmeal production only relied on by-products, so the output remained sluggish
    .
All fishing grounds (except the South China Sea) will continue to implement the fishing ban before September
    .

Shipments of imported fishmeal continue to grow, and the inventory of port warehouses hit a record high
    .
Supported by healthy trading volume, the average price of aquatic products continued to rise year-on-year
    .
Recently, due to improved demand, shrimp prices have also started to rise
    .
Aquaculture is still at its seasonal peak, and aquafeed production will rise again in July 2021
    .
The pig inventory seems to have returned to the official level reported in 2017
    .

The increase in cumulative pig feed production up to July indicates that the industry has continued to recover to the levels reported in the previous three years
