Urothelial carcinoma (UC) is one of the common malignant tumors of the genitourinary system, including upper urothelial carcinoma and bladder cancer, both of which originate from urothelial cells, but upper urothelial carcinoma is more malignant and is diagnosed at about Muscle invasion occurs in 60% of patients, compared with only 15-25% of bladder cancer patient.
A total of 49 cases of upper urothelial paracancerous tissue, upper urothelial carcinoma and bladder cancer tissue were collected in this stud.
Studies have shown that urothelial carcinomas have potentially similar DNA methylation mechanisms, which provides the possibility for co-management of urothelial carcinomas, molecular typing strategies for prognostic risk stratification for clinical research, and for clinical us.
The research work is supported by the National Key R&D Program, the Strategic Pilot Science and Technology Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the National Natural Science Foundation of Chin.
