Low doses of aspirin may be effective in suppressing HIV infection and transmission! doi:10.1016/j.jconrel.2018.03.010doi:10.1002/jia2.25150 Scientists from the University of Manitoba and others in Canada recently found that low-dose aspirin may inhibit the spread of HIV, according to research published in the international journals Journal of Controlled Release and Journal of The International AIDS Society.
HIV infection rates remain high in the population, especially among young African women, the researchers tested the effects of acetyl saliolic acid (ASA or aspirin) and other anti-inflammatory drugs on HIV-targeted cells in a joint study of a group of low-risk women from Kenya.
