    From Seafoodnews on December 3, South Korea’s imports of high-end and fresh seafood from Norway are increasing, and Korean consumers value the quality of seafood.
    Imported Norwegian live crabs are very popular in South Korea .
     
    From January to October this year, Norway’s seafood exports to South Korea amounted to 68,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 34%.
    This is another increase after a year-on-year increase of 17% in 2020.
    The main export products are mackerel and salmon, with high-quality products.

    In response, the Norwegian Fisheries Agency decided to organize a pop-up event with local chefs and culinary talents to promote crabs from Norway

    The Norwegian Seafood Agency also collaborated with life>nsieur Benjamin restaurant and Cesta restaurant in Yongsan district in central Seoul

    The Norwegian Seafood Agency is preparing to launch another high-quality seafood product next year: sea crayfish

    At present, South Korea has only sent inspectors to two countries.
