Health Commission: 16 new confirmed cases and 2 local cases

From 0-24:00 on May 28, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 16 new confirmed cases, including 14 imported cases (Shanghai 7 cases, Sichuan 2 cases, Shaanxi 2 cases, Zhejiang 1 case, 1 case in Fujian, 1 case in Guangdong), 2 local cases (both in Guangdong); no new deaths; no new suspected cases.

On the same day, 14 new cases were cured and discharged, and 331 close contacts were released from medical observation.

There are currently 293 confirmed cases imported from abroad (including 3 severe cases) and 2 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on May 28, according to reports from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, there are currently 318 confirmed cases (including 4 severe cases), 86,107 cured and discharged cases, and 4,636 deaths.

31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 14 new cases of asymptomatic infections, of which 6 were imported from abroad and 8 were local (all in Guangdong); 2 cases were converted to confirmed cases on the same day (1 imported from abroad) ); 14 cases of medical observation were released on the same day (all imported from abroad); 403 cases of asymptomatic infection were still under medical observation (364 cases imported from abroad).

A total of 19,202 confirmed cases have been notified from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
