Gilead worked with ab Cellera's team to fight infectious diseases

AbCellera announced a partnership with Gilead to discover infectious disease antibodies.The two companies said the partnership will focus on the discovery of ultra-rare antibodies of certain properties for the treatment of a range of infectious diseases, with AbCellera applying its expertise in single-cell screening of natural immune sources to produce a wealth of candidate antibodies evaluated by Gilead.Under the agreement, AbCellera will receive upfront and research payments and will be eligible for downstream clinical and commercial follow-up payments and concessions for net product sales.AbCellera's team was able to query millions of individual B-cells in an event that has been shown to successfully identify sub-type low-frequency antibodies in large and diverse adhesive groups.
