Gastric cancer is a common malignant tumor originating from the epithelium of the gastric mucosa, its early symptoms are insidious and non-specific, often similar to gastritis, gastric ulcers and other chronic disease symptoms, it is easy to be ignored, resulting in 80-90% of gastric cancer patients are already in the advanced stage
In recent years, neoadjuvant chemotherapy has achieved certain results in improving the prognosis of patients with advanced gastric cancer, which is accepted
In the early stage, gao Xin's team from the Suzhou Institute of Medical Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Shanxi Provincial Cancer Hospital proposed for the first time a method for predicting the efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for advanced gastric cancer based on artificial intelligence (the relevant results were published in Lancet's EClinicalMedicine, 2022, 101348).
The results show that the proposed model has high accuracy and strong generalization, and the prediction accuracy on the internal and external test sets is greater than 0.
The research was funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and other institutions, and the relevant results were published in the Top journal Gastric Cancer (IF: 7.
