Psoriasis (PSO) is a common systemic chronic inflammatory disease
.
It is estimated that approximately 125 million people worldwide suffer from PSO
PSO patients are also accompanied by increased prevalence of psoriatic arthritis (PSA), hyperuricemia, dyslipidemia, hypertension, diabetes, stroke, coronary heart disease, acute myocardial infarction, obesity and depression
Method: As shown in Figure 1, the longitudinal health insurance database (LHID) data compiled from 2000 to 2013 constituted 1 million people
.
The diagnosis is determined according to the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) Ninth Edition Clinical Modification (ICD-9-CM) code
Immune rheumatoid arthritis
Results: The PsO combined with gout group (n = 97), the simple PsO group (n = 388), the simple gout group (n = 388) and the control group (n = 388) were determined
.
The number of patients with CVD during the follow-up period is shown in Table 1
Compared with patients with PsO alone, the risk of CVD in patients with PsO combined with gout is significantly higher.

Conclusion: Gout increases the risk of cardiovascular disease in PsO patients, and has nothing to do with traditional risk factors
