World Agrochemical Network Chinese reported: Recently, Formis said that it will launch Adastrio fungicide
    for the 2023 crop season.
Adastrio fungicide is a ternary compound foliar fungicide and the first fungicide to use the latest molecule in the SDHI class, fluinazolamide, Adastrio fungicide is used in corn, sorghum, wheat, triticale and barley to combat anthrax leaf blight, common rust, gray leaf spot, northern corn leaf blight and southern rust
    .
It aims to provide broad-spectrum control of key foliar diseases of crops to protect crop yields
    .

"With Adastrio biocides, we will have a unique portfolio of three active ingredients: fluoroinazolamide (Group 7), powderazole (Group 3) and azoxystrobin (Group 11).

Combining these active ingredients is to provide growers with a flexible and effective foliar disease management tool
    .
The fungicide has a wide application window in corn, low usage and long-lasting residue control," said
Gail Stratman, regional technical service manager at Formics.

A unique combination of active ingredients

Each active ingredient in a fungicide brings different activity and protective functions
    .
Fluindazolamine is a novel SDHI molecule
    unique to Formics.
The fungicide has broad-spectrum activity and residual effect on a series of foliar diseases, which can better control rust spot disease and reduce abiotic stress
in the filling stage of grain after application.

Studies have also shown that fluazolimide controls pathogens
that are resistant to other chemical classes.
Powderazole is the most systemic triazole fungicide on the market, and azoxystrobin provides excellent rust prevention and control capabilities
    .

"Adastrio fungicides are particularly suitable for corn growers
who are facing late-season foliar disease.
The preventive and curative activity, as well as the long-term residual activity, make it ideal for controlling diseases that affect the grain filling phase," says
    Stratman.
"In addition, studies have shown that fungicides containing SDHI and methoxyacrylates, such as Adastrio fungicides, can improve plant stress resistance and have a gain effect
    with crop growth.

Adastrio fungicides have a wide application window for the prevention and control of specific disease stresses from the early growth stage to the ear pumping stage of maize
    planting.
    The recommended dosage is 7-9fl.
    oz.
    /A.
, small amounts of application can ensure ease of application, transportation and storage
    .

Develop early and late foliar disease control strategies

Corn growers often face a variety of foliar diseases at different stages throughout the growing season
    .
Studies have shown that Xyway 3D fungicides and Xyway®®LFR® fungicides from Formis are viable treatments for early foliar diseases such as gray leaf spot and northern maize leaf blight
    .
Given the disease spectrum and environmental
conditions, growers may need early and late season disease management to ensure yields
    .

Nick Michalisin, Product Manager for Fungicides at Formica, said: "A program that revolves around the use of Xyway fungicides at the beginning and the foliar application of Adastrio fungicides late in the season maximizes growers' ability to
manage crop diseases throughout the season.
This strategy is a highly effective way
    to proactively improve certain disease.

Corn growers who apply both Xyway and Adastrio fungicides on the same plot of land in the same season are advised to reduce the use
    of Xyway fungicides.
Growers should consult their local FMC retailer or refer to the Adastrio fungicide product label for specific recommended usage rates
    .

"At FMC, we are committed to the ongoing development and introduction of new disease solutions to help growers meet the ever-changing foliar disease challenges and protect their yields," said
    Stratman.
"Adastri fungicides are the next step, and its flexibility and control can successfully solve production problems
    for growers.
