According to Bloomberg news on April 6, according to the Italian newspaper Il Messaggero, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) believes that AstraZeneca vaccine is potentially linked to blood clots.
Due to concerns about the possible risk of blood clots after vaccination, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy and other countries announced the suspension of the use of AstraZeneca vaccine in mid-March.
The European Medicines Agency issued preliminary findings on March 18, stating that the AstraZeneca vaccine "benefits outweigh the risks," but it does not rule out that it is related to a very small number of thrombosis cases.
