In the Astrakhan region and throughout Russia, the price of black caviar and sturgeon caviar has fallen
    .
Andrey Markin, head of the Kaspryba Federation of Fisheries and Fish Processing Enterprises, told TASS that this was due to a decline in overall consumer activity and an increase in the share of Russian sturgeon caviar imports
    .

"The cost of black caviar and sturgeon caviar varieties in the Astrakhan region is not expected to increase
    significantly on New Year's Eve.
Local fishermen keep prices for fish products, including traditional products at the New Year's table," Malkin said
    .
"Price monitoring of this segment in the region shows a steady decline in prices, which is typical
for the entire country, including the capital.
This is due to the increase in imports of sturgeon caviar from Armenia and Israel, which in the current situation generally decreases the spending power of the population, and therefore leads to a decrease in the turnover of some enterprises," he said
    .

As experts note, now the price of black caviar ranges from 25,000 to 40,000 rubles per kg of finished products - the price bar has decreased by 5,000 rubles
compared to the same period last year.
At the same time, depending on the quality of caviar and the presence of many other factors, the price may rise
    .
The price per kg of sturgeon varies from 1000 rubles to 2500 rubles, depending on its type (sturgeon, beluga whale, carnum shrimp, etc.
) and cutting method, as well as other quality characteristics
    .
In this case, the price floor decreased by 200 rubles
compared to the pre-New Year of last year.

Fishing is one of the pillars of the economy of the Astrakhan region, employing about 230 businesses
    in the region.
There are 210 fish farms and 455 fisheries
    in the area.
Fish products from the Astrakhan region are actively supplied abroad
